Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Consider mixing dark and milk chocolate chips for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
  • Gradually blend in the flour mixture, then stir in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
