Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, swirling it until it becomes brown and nutty in aroma.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine both sugars with the browned butter.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough onto baking sheets and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden.
  • Allow to cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

To enhance flavor and texture, let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking. For added crunch, consider adding nuts like walnuts or pecans.
