  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey Use seasoned for added flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste
  • 2 cups Cooked rice or quinoa Use gluten-free grains for gluten-free option

Toppings

  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or American) Different cheeses can be used
  • 2 cups Lettuce
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1 cup Pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Mustard
  • 1 medium Avocado, sliced Optional

Instructions
 

Cooking the Meat

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat.

Assembling the Bowl

  • In bowls, layer cooked rice or quinoa as the base.
  • Top with cooked meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
  • Drizzle ketchup and mustard on top.
  • Add avocado if desired.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or prepare for meal prep by storing in airtight containers.

Notes

For added flavor, use seasoned meat or sauté garlic/onions beforehand. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days.
