  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped for garnish

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the chicken.
  • Add the cream cheese on top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix everything together in the slow cooker.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and cooked bacon.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve on buns, over rice, or on its own, and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding garlic powder or onion powder to the ranch seasoning. Use frozen chicken breasts for convenience. For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeƱos or hot sauce. Make it healthier by using turkey bacon or omitting bacon altogether. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat on the stove or microwave.
