  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or chicken/turkey) Choose high-quality steak for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 12 oz twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli) Feel free to substitute with any pasta like fettuccine or penne.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Add a splash of cream if sauce becomes too thick during reheating.
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust to suit your spice preference.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Garnish with extra Parmesan when serving.
  • to taste Olive oil Use for cooking the steak.

Preparation

  • Cook the twisted pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, lower the heat and melt the butter. Stir in the heavy cream and Cajun seasoning; let it simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and fold in the grated Parmesan and seared steak bites.

Notes

Serve warm on a large plate or in individual bowls, garnished with extra Parmesan and black pepper. Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread. For storage, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
