  • 6 cups sliced apples Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for added flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of your apples.
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Layer the apple mixture in the crock pot.
  • In another bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, and melted butter to create a crumbly topping.
  • Sprinkle the topping over the apples in the crock pot.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until apples are soft and topping is golden.

Notes

Crock Pot Apple Crisp is best served warm. Enjoy it plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. To store leftovers, let it cool completely, then place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
