Cheese Selection

  • 6 oz cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz brie cheese
  • 6 oz gouda cheese

Meats

  • 4 oz salami
  • 4 oz prosciutto
  • 4 oz pepperoni

Fruits

  • 2 cup sliced apples
  • 1 cup grapes
  • 8 oz figs

Add-ons

  • 1 cup candied pecans
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup dried apricots

Crackers and Spreads

  • 1 pack grissini
  • 1 bag baguette slices
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 1/2 cup fig jam

Vegetables and Herbs

  • 1 cup carrots, cut
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 handful rosemary, for garnish
  • 1 handful thyme, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Select a large wooden board or platter.
  • Arrange the cheeses in different sections of the board. Cut some into slices and leave others whole.
  • Place the cured meats around the cheeses, folding or rolling them for an appealing look.
  • Add fresh fruits, spreading them evenly across the board.
  • Fill in gaps with nuts and dried fruits for a crunchy texture.
  • Arrange the crackers and bread on one side of the board.
  • Spoon spreads into small bowls and place them on the board.
  • Finish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs to add color and fragrance.

Notes

Choose a mix of flavors and seasonal ingredients. Include textures like crunchy, smooth, and creamy. Have utensils such as cheese knives and toothpicks available for easy serving.
