Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add diced chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.

  • Stir in the orzo, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Mix well.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

This casserole is best served warm. A simple side salad can complement it well, helping to balance the richness of the casserole. To store leftovers, let the casserole cool down completely and cover tightly. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through.
