Ingredients
  

For the Apple Filling

  • 3 lbs Granny Smith apples Peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ¼ cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

For the Topping

  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup dairy-free butter Melted

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  • Peel, core, and slice the apples into approximately 8 cups.
  • Spread the sliced apples evenly in the casserole dish.
  • Mix the sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon together; sprinkle this mixture over the apples.

Topping

  • Melt the dairy-free butter over low heat.
  • Once melted, add the butter to the gluten-free flour and brown sugar. Mix until combined.
  • Crumble the topping mixture over the apples in the casserole dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with dairy-free ice cream or drizzle with maple syrup. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
