  • 1 cup water Adjust based on desired soup consistency.

Vegetables

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms Fresh mushrooms yield the best flavor.
  • 1 each carrot, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 2 each green onions, chopped For garnishing and flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.

Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce for gluten-free option.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Adds rich flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust seasoning to preference.

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked noodles Optional for additional texture.
  • to taste chopped herbs like cilantro or parsley For garnishing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot, combine the chicken or vegetable broth and water. Bring to a boil.

Cooking

  • Add the mushrooms, carrot, celery, and garlic to the pot. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. If using noodles, add them now.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with green onions and chopped herbs.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh vegetables. Can add tofu or chicken for extra protein. Customize with favorite herbs and spices.
