Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water (about 100°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • to taste Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes bubbly.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Mix until a dough forms. Then, knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a little edge for the crust.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by your favorite toppings.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Serve your delicious pizza hot from the oven with sides like a salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
