  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.)

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the olive oil and warm water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Place the rolled dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread pizza sauce on the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  • Add your choice of toppings.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve hot out of the oven with a side of marinara sauce for dipping or a fresh salad. Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm slices in the oven or microwave. Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust and experiment with different toppings for variety.
